In this tutorial you’ll learn how to install cinnamon themes. I am assuming that you have installed the cinnamon via PPA or your distro installed it by default. In any case, lets get to install the themes for cinnamon.
If you have not downloaded the cinnamon themes before, I suggest you to download the themes. Once you download the themes on your desktop, you can install them by following any one of these methods.
You can download the cinnamon tested themes from the spices website or you can download the gtk themes from gnome-look.org or deviant art website.
Please note that some of the themes may or may not work based on the version of GTK themes. So please doublecheck the sources from which you’re downloading the themes.

- Method 1: Make a .themes directory in your home directory and paste the extracted theme files there.
- Method 2: Copy the contents of the extracted folder and paste it using sudo in terminal. sudo cp -R theme /usr/share/themes
- Method 3: You can open the file manager like nautilus or thunar in sudo and then copy the contents to that respective folder.
